In this awareness programme Ilavalai OIC, Grama Niladhari, Samurdi Officer and village community center president participated and gave full support for the success of the programme. Reopening of St. Henry’s chapel. St. Henry’s chapel was blessed and reopened by Rev. Fr. Jesuratnam, the dean of Ilavalai deanery after the renovation on the 8th of October 2019. Mr. Philip Constantine has financially assisted for the major repairs held in 2014 and 2019. Installation of new members of Leo club at St.Henry’s College.
The installation of new members of Leo club of St.Henry’s College and appointment of its new administration to place on 26.09.2019 at 11.30 a.m at conference hall. The chief guest this event was district governor Lion.P.Mahendran PMJN and the guest of honour 306 B1 disrict president Leo.Sintujan Inthiran and special guest was district cordinator Lion.Dr.R.Shanthan MJF,MAF, JP. Together with them Leo counselor Lion Mr.Rathakrishnan, Rev.Fr.Rector,Teachers and Students participated in this occasion.

TEACHERS’ ANNUAL DAY OUT. The tutorial staff of St.Henry’s College went on a day out to Eluvaitivu for a relaxation after having worked hard during the Trinity term . Immediately after the end of the term about 40 Staff started their journey from college in a bus to kayts and from their they went to Eluvaitivu which is one of a beautiful island in SriLanka by boat. The whole day was full of fun and excitement since it was a new experience to spent time in an island and boating, fishing and enjoying sea food for the first time for many of the staff. Thanks to Fr.Rector for initiating this day out and Mr.Anusdathas and Mr.Sasikumar for organizing in a such a way to enjoy this trip to the maximum. Our Young Kid in Barcelona, Spain! Mas.P.David Darlingson was selected by Milo for the group of 8 players who are to attend soccer training session which will be held from July 29th – August 5th in Barcelona, Spain. Darlingson is one of the key players of under 12 soccer team which was the second runner up in the under 12 National level Milo championship. College Day Celebrations 2019
College Day Celebrations 2019 The Feast of St.Henry, the patron saint of our college was celebrated in a grand scale. The holy Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev.Fr.A.Liyans and con celebrated by Rev.Fr.Jenis OMI, Rev.Fr.Ajith Sulaxshan and Rev.Fr.Rector. Thanks to the newly ordained priests for interceding St.Henry and gracing the occasion. Followed by the festive mass, our annual book release took place. Mrs. N.Anne Jegalatha was the chairperson of the event. The first copy was presented to Dr. Robinson, the president OBA Jaffna. Next presentation of awards to the winners of the road race which is sponsored by Ilavalai OBA held. After that the College day fellowship meal was served to the old boys in cafeteria. The boys started their celebrations in class rooms with breakfast and dance. College Day 2019 – BLOOD DONATION A blood donation camp was organized by the senior prefects of our college on 10th of July 2019. There were 33 students and staff volunteered to donate blood on that day. Doctors were happy about that. We thank all the donors for their thoughtfulness and kindness they have towards the needy.
