PRIZE DAY 2019
PRIZE DAY 2019 St. Henry’s college is hosting its largest ever and glorious Prize Day for the year of 2017 and 2018 in a grand scale. The students are to be called up to receive their prizes in recognition of their efforts and achievements over the course of the last two years. We, the henricians proudly say that we always cherish the past, celebrate the present and create the future with the motto of our Alma Mater that is hard work conquers. Credits goes to our Fr. Rector for administering this college with an outstanding theme of “School like home and home like school” for the last two years making dramatic changes in all spheres and showing colours in all fields. With all my heart I cordially thank all the guests and parents for showing up here today upon our request to honor the artistic, athletic, scholarly, and community-building achievements of our students. Navarathri Festival was celebrated on 28.10.2019 Mr.N.Navaneethan, Saiva pulavar was the guest speaker on that day. He explained the significance of Navarathri and relationship between spirituality and education. “Naatya Nadakam” was the main event among the cultural programmes which were staged. The winners of the competitions conducted in relation to the Navarathri were presented with valuable prizes. Thanks to Mrs.V.Sivakumaran, teacher in-charge of Hindu Union for her hard work to make this event a meaningful one. Reopening of St. Henry’s chapel. St. Henry’s chapel was blessed and reopened by Rev. Fr. Jesuratnam, the dean of Ilavalai deanery after the renovation on the 8th of October 2019. Mr. Philip Constantine has financially assisted for the major repairs held in 2014 and 2019. The installation of new members of Leo club of St.Henry’s College and appointment of its new administration to place on 26.09.2019 at 11.30 a.m at conference hall. The chief guest this event was district governor Lion.P.Mahendran PMJN and the guest of honour 306 B1 disrict president Leo.Sintujan Inthiran and special guest was district cordinator Lion.Dr.R.Shanthan MJF,MAF, JP. Together with them Leo counselor Lion Mr.Rathakrishnan, Rev.Fr.Rector,Teachers and Students participated in this occasion.
